The NE Tarrant Tea Party will join in the efforts of Wreaths Across America to lay wreaths on the grave sites of our veterans. Wreaths Across America’s mission, Remember, Honor, Teach, is carried out by coordinating wreath laying ceremonies on the second Saturday of December at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as veterans’ cemeteries in all 50 states and beyond. We will be participating in the ceremony at Azleland Memorial Park.
When: December 10th, 2011 at 11:00a.m.
Where: Azleland Memorial Park Azle; 850 N. Cardinal Rd; Azle, Texas 76020
The theme for 2011 is “Giving The Christmas They Never Had”. Please watch:
On the morning of the event, there will be a short ceremony, then everyone present is invited to take wreaths and place them on veterans’ graves until each wreath has been placed. The entire event lasts about an hour.
There are over 400 service markers in the Azleland Cemetery. Each location only receives as many wreaths as the community donates, so donations for wreaths are greatly appreciated. The wreaths cost $15 a piece and can be ordered for this specific location online here. Please consider donating a wreath today and pass this information on to neighbors and friends. And invite them to the ceremony. This is a public observance.

We don’t care what you ride or if you ride, what your political views are, or whether you’re a hawk or a dove. It is not a requirement that you be a veteran. It doesn’t matter where you’re from or what your income is; you don’t even have to ride. The only prerequisite is Respect.
Our main mission is to attend the funeral services of fallen American heroes as invited guests of the family. Each mission we undertake has two basic objectives:
- Show our sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities.
- Shield the mourning family and their friends from interruptions created by any protestor or group of protestors.
We accomplish the latter through strictly legal and non-violent means.
To those of you who are currently serving and fighting for the freedoms of others, at home and abroad, please know that we are backing you. We honor and support you with every mission we carry out, and we are praying for a safe return home for all.”
Tomorrow, September 9th the Patriot Guard Riders could use our help.
Pfc. Michael C. Roberts, a fallen soldier and true American Hero, will be laid to rest at 11:00a.m at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2016 Willis Lane, Keller. Westboro Church, the group that goes around picketing fallen soldiers funerals have a press release indicating they will be protesting at this funeral. Let’s help shield this family from those that would like to make this about their agenda. Please meet on the east side of Willis Lane around 9:30a.m. Bring flags if you like and plan on joining other fellow Americans as we come together to show our appreciation for Pfc. Roberts and his family.

While Standard and Poor’s kept our attention about America’s credit downgrade, Obama played other maneuvers that will affect your life. Here are just a few. There are many more!
Gun Rights – NRA President, Wayne LaPierre, announces an all out fight with the Obama Administration. He said, “If they want to fight with the NRA, then bring it on.” He doesn’t hold back as he speaks to the issue of the US firearms ending up with drug cartels in Mexico. Food and Land Takeover — The President created the White House Rural council to make sure we are working across Government entities (?) to ensure economic growth. Homeland Security, Justice Department and Treasury Department will be involved in promoting our food and land use. Why? President Regan talked about this and warned us about the very thing Obama is doing. This is another way for the government to tell us what to do with our land. Some people are getting up and heading to work. Others are lying in bed and wishing they could. Those heading to work are wondering how long before they are lying in bed and wishing they had a job.
Unemployment numbers are up and our foolish President believes raising taxes “on the rich” and continued out of control spending by himself and his cronies is the answer to getting those lying in bed back to work. He is wrong. He is ill-advised. He is unwise. And…he is leading us down a dangerous path and the American people are tired of following him. That’s a path he can now go alone.
I probably sound a little on the bitter side this morning and I apologize for that. Because we are the leaders of our local tea party group, we hear a lot of personal stories about this economy. You see, we are on the front lines of this economy and many of our friends are taking the hits for the poor decisions being made in DC. Daily another one bites the dust either through losing their job, closing their business, running out of savings to keep them afloat, or undergoing marital discourse because of the stress.
The economy has created war and we are the troops. Our “generals” in DC are sitting in their offices with their minds oblivious to the hurting soldiers. They are not giving us the cover we need to protect ourselves. The cover is simple:
- Stop spending
- Shut down departments we don’t need (EPA, Department of Education to name a few)
- Stop the strangulation caused by regulation
- Leave the marketplace free from government intervention so we can thrive again and create jobs!
- Stop passing Executive orders that take away our ability to feed ourselves or take our land from us
- Stop passing treaties that put us in harm’s way
- Stop giving guns to our enemies so they can shoot our citizens.
I could go on and on with a list that would scare the “you-know-what” out of you but that list is enough for Monday morning.

The situation is dire and the troops are weary. They are weary in Iraq, Afghanistan and America and the time for leadership is now.
The leaders in DC are far and few between but our very own Florida Senator Marco Rubio got it right this past week when he told Obama we need New Taxpayers, not new taxes.
Over the weekend, John Boehner didn’t cave to Obama over the tax increase for the “wealthy” either. Obama demonizes all aspects of our society and taking on the “rich” who employ people and create jobs is not going to hack it with the GOP (we hope). It’s one thing to play around with our economy and put us in financial distress. It’s another thing to hand guns to our enemies resulting in American citizens killed with them. Check this out at: Fast and Furious Gun Runner Issue
So what can you do to help your friends at the frontlines? You can call Congress and tell them this:
1. Thank you for Saying No to Raising the Debt Ceiling or Raising our Taxes:
2. Thank you for investigating the Fast & Furious Issue. Please stay the course and take down all who had anything to do with this – including the Justice Department!
While you are making your calls or emails, consider asking this question too: “What will it take for us to hear the word “impeach?” Ask them to let you know because the troops on the frontline can’t understand how we can let our President overstep his boundaries and destroy our country right before our eyes.
Monday mornings are always tough but future Monday mornings will not be bright unless we take action for our fellowmen on the frontlines. If you know someone who is hurting from this economic disaster, consider putting a $20 bill in an envelope and mail it to them today. Don’t let them know you sent it. You’ll make their day and give them hope for a brighter tomorrow.

SADLY, ANOTHER FAMILY TO PRAY FOR
Honor Procession to travel Highway 80 and arrive in Gladewater around 6:00 p.m on Saturday, June 18th.
Details below if you would like to participate in the Honor Procession.
The body of a Gladewater soldier killed in Afghanistan is scheduled to arrive in his hometown about 6 p.m. Saturday in a motorcade that will include an East Texas congressman.
U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer Bradley Justin Gaudet, 31, was killed June 5 in a helicopter crash while serving near Kabul.
His body is scheduled to arrive about 3:20 p.m. Saturday at Dallas Love Field on a Southwest Airlines flight from New York that will be accompanied by U.S. Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Tyler.
The East Texas Patriot Guard will be staging at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Croley Funeral Home, 401 N. Center St,, Gladewater; their motorcade is scheduled to leave the funeral home in Gladewater at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
Plans are for the motorcade to travel east on U.S. 80 from Terrell to Gladewater on Saturday, June 18th.
Residents of communities along the route are encouraged to line the highway with flags.
The procession is expected to arrive at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater about 6 p.m. Saturday.

About Allen Clark…
After attending Phillips Exeter Academy, Allen graduated the United States Military Academy in 1963, after which he was commissioned in the Army Corps of Engineers. Two years after graduation from West Point, he volunteered for a tour in Vietnam where he served as a Military Intelligence officer assigned to the Fifth Special Forces Group. Allen sustained injuries in an early-morning mortar attack at the Dak To Special Forces camp on June 17, 1967, that necessitated the amputation of both legs below his knees. His military service and sacrifice were recognized with receipt of a Silver Star for Gallantry in Action, the Purple Heart, and the Combat Infantryman’s Badge. He was airborne-qualified.
While learning to adjust to his disability and to walk on prosthetic legs, he obtained an MBA in finance and investments from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Allen’s first post-graduate position was as an investment manager for Ross Perot. His other private sector experience has spanned oil and gas exploration, real estate marketing, and mortgage lending. He has been vice president of a bank, president of three oil service companies, and co-founder of a real estate investment company in Texas.
Allen’s impassioned commitment to public service and to helping veterans began with an appointment in 1979 as the Special Assistant for Administration to Texas Governor William P. Clements, Jr. In 1981, Allen was President Ronald Reagan’s selection to be Deputy Administrator for the Veterans Administration (now the Department of Veterans Affairs). However, he chose to remain in Texas where in 1982 he received the Texas Republican Party’s nomination to run for State Treasurer in a race that was won by former Texas State Governor Ann Richards.
In 1989, he was nominated by President George H.W. Bush and confirmed by the U.S. Senate as Assistant Secretary for Veterans Liaison and Program Coordination at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. In 1991, he received his second VA confirmation as Director of the National Cemetery System, a position in which he served until the end of the Bush Administration.
Allen’s dedicated efforts to support veterans’ causes at the national and state levels were recognized with his nomination by the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) organization as the Texas State candidate for the national Outstanding Disabled Veteran of the year 2000. In 1993 the Military Chaplains Association awarded him their annual National Citizenship Award.”
He retired in 2005 as the Public Affairs Officer for the VA North Texas Health Care System in Dallas, Texas. His current lay ministry is involved in outreach efforts to help veterans recover emotionally and spiritually from adverse wartime experiences. Allen participates in many community and civic activities, including regularly speaking at various group events and churches. Allen has addressed many audiences nationwide as a political candidate, public official, and motivational speaker. Allen’s autobiography titled “Wounded Soldier, Healing Warrior” was published in early 2007 by Zenith Press (visit book site).
He is a member of the American Legion, Association of the U.S. Army, Disabled American Veterans, Military Order of the World Wars, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Military Officers Association, Sons of the American Revolution, Special Forces Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Association of Graduates of the U.S. Military Academy, and Vietnam Veterans of America.
