Their intentions are clear; the establishment of “No-Go Zones” or “Muslim-Only” enclaves is an unmistakable goal of Islamists. For many years they have been hard at work establishing these autonomous regions where the host government has little or no control over Muslims living there. They wish to institute Sharia law, creating their own social, economic and political structures. There is evidence that Umma mosques in the Detroit area have maintained armed militias. Others have provided training in martial arts, and guerilla warfare. Most operate under the radar of local, state and federal law enforcement officials. The FBI raided an Umma warehouse and two houses in Detroit on October 28, 2009. They arrested eleven members on charges of mail fraud, illegal possession of firearms, trafficking in stolen goods, and altering vehicle identification numbers. In the course of the raid on the warehouse, Luqman Ameen Abdullah, the ringleader of the group, opened fire on the federal agents and was killed in the ensuing gunfight. The Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations has sued the Michigan police for release of information on the shooting.

Activist judges have been legislating from the bench because, we the people, have been unwilling to stop them. The Constitution gives us the authority to remove judges who are arrogant enough to assume this function that is reserved for Congress. There are egregious examples of judges who have flouted their authority and overturned the will of the people. Most recently, U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker, overturned the will of seven million Californians who wished to define marriage as between one-man and one-woman through Proposition 8. When the opponents of Prop 8 lost at the ballot box they headed for the courts to overturn the results of the election. According to David Barton president of WallBuilders, “In a Texas county where conservatives narrowly won multiple seats in an election, a federal judge reversed that outcome by arbitrarily throwing out the 800 votes cast by U.S. military personnel, saying they had no right to vote in local elections.” The Founders provided for checks and balances and that includes the judicial branch. Sixty-one federal judges or Supreme Court Justices have been investigated for impeachment, of whom thirteen have been impeached and seven convicted. Judges are accountable to Congress and can be removed from office by impeachment, including a lifetime-appointed federal judge. Proceedings begin in the House of Representatives. The Senate is responsible for holding the impeachment trial. The process is cumbersome and a conviction is difficult. However, just the threat of impeachment can produce positive results if it causes judges to reevaluate their actions. Widespread calls for impeachment have been shown to influence wayward judges. Take action against activist judges by contacting your congressman, remind them of the need for judicial reform and alert them when abuses occur.

More than 11,100 corporations, trade associations, unions and other groups hired 10,500 lobbyists during the second quarter, (have been found,) outnumbering members of Congress roughly 20 to 1.
Federal Judge Blocks Part of Arizona Immigration Law
A federal judge on Wednesday blocked some of the toughest provisions in the Arizona immigration law, putting on hold the state’s attempt to enforce federal immigration policy.
Though the rest of the law is still set to go into effect Thursday, the partial injunction on SB 1070 means Arizona, for the time being, will not be able to require police officers to determine the immigration status of anyone they stop or arrest.
People are outspoken on both sides of the law, but one thing is certain, Aliens coming into our borders illegally has to stop! For security, as well as, legal reasons.
In today’s Washington Post, he takes to task the immigration chiefs of the past two Presidents (one Republican and one Democrat) who have joined others in distorting the purpose of the “287(g)” local enforcement program, which is something of a model for the Arizona law that is scheduled to take effect later this week but is also tied up in federal court.

Administration officials say the tax argument is a linchpin of their legal case in defense of the health care overhaul and its individual mandate, now being challenged in court by more than 20 states and several private organizations.
Under the legislation signed by President Obama in March, most Americans will have to maintain “minimum essential coverage” starting in 2014. Many people will be eligible for federal subsidies to help them pay premiums.
In a brief defending the law, the Justice Department says the requirement for people to carry insurance or pay the penalty is “a valid exercise” of Congress’s power to impose taxes.
July 12th Arraignment of Four Christian Missionaries Arrested at the Dearborn, Michigan Arab Festival

People – D. Wood ANN ARBOR, MI – The arraignment of four Christian missionaries on criminal charges will take place on Monday, July 12, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. in the 19th Judicial District Court located at 16077 Michigan Avenue in Dearborn, Michigan. This is the next step in what has been described as police enforcement of Sharia law in a city dominated by a large Muslim population.
To the jeers and shouts of “Allah Akbar” by the Muslim crowd, the four Christian missionaries were arrested and thrown in jail on June 18, 2010 by Dearborn Police officers at the Annual Arab International Festival held in Dearborn. One of the arrested missionaries was Dr. Nabeel Qureshi, MD, who was engaged in peaceful dialogue with several Muslim youths. The other three missionaries, who were merely videotaping the conversation, had their cameras and other equipment illegally seized before police arrested them as well.
Police refused requests by the missionaries to view the video at the scene of their arrest, which the missionaries claimed would completely exonerate them of any wrongdoing.
The Thomas More Law Center, a national public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan is representing all of the Christian missionaries. Because District Judge Mark W. Somers required that all four defendants personally appear before him for the arraignment, the Law Center assisted with the costs of their travel from different parts of the country.
Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of the Thomas More Law Center, commented, “It’s evident that the Dearborn Police department was more interested in placating Muslims than obeying our Constitution. These Christians were exercising their Constitutional rights to free speech and the free exercise of religion, but apparently in a city where the Muslim population seems to dominate the political apparatus, Sharia law trumps our Constitution.”
Thus far, police and prosecutors have refused to return the illegally seized cameras and video tapes. They have also refused to provide the Law Center with the police reports of the incident despite repeated requests.
Arrested on charges of Breach of the Peace are Negeen Mayel, Dr. Nabeel Qureshi, Paul Rezkalla and David Wood. Mayel, an eighteen-year old female whose parents emigrated from Afghanistan and a recent convert from Islam to Christianity, was also charged with failure to obey a police officer’s orders. She was at least 100 feet away and videotaping Qureshi’s discussion with the Muslim youths when police seized her camera.
Thompson added, “Not all police officers approve of the way their department treated these Christians.”
Robert Muise, Senior Trial Counsel with the Law Center, will represent the Christian missionaries at the arraignment on Monday.

But they are not the bigger issue. Sometimes we are so close to the issues, we can’t see our way. We need an overview.
