Location: Henderson County Courthouse
Address:
112 N. Palistine Athens, TX 75751 Map it
The Henderson County Tea Party invites you to attend a rally to commemorate the birth of Christ and our right to display a replica of the scene of the birth.
We are asking all Patriots who can possibly attend the “It’s our Nativity Scene—Come and Take It Rally” on Dec. 17 at High Noon. The rally will be held on the Courthouse square in Athens, Texas. A Wisconsin organization, The Freedom FROM Religion Foundation has filed a complaint asking the Henderson County Commissioners to remove the Nativity Scene.
We say “No Way!”–Come and Take It!–Let’s show our support for our religious rights, freedom to assemble and our resolve in,” Don’t Mess With Texas!” What a great issue to rally behind– especially as we kick off this vital election season. We must show our resolve and draw the line in the sand. Time to stop this assault from the liberal left and stand our ground.
Juff Tulley -Coordinator of the Henderson County Tea Party has secured a staging location on the Square in Athens. The staging area will be for Tea Party attendees and media.
The location is:Tea Party Headquarters, 112 N. Palestine–on the East side of the courthouse. Direct questions concering the rally to: Jeff Tulley at

Folks, remember our August 27th quarterly potluck where we had speakers Brandon Darby and Anita Moncrief? Well, we just got this note from Billie Tucker of First Coast Tea Party in Florida telling us about what Brandon did at a rally they just had. We thought it was great and wanted to share it with you!
From Billie Tucker, First Coast Tea Party:
Brandon Darby spoke at the First Coast Tea Party Rally to the Right last Sunday. Brandon is a former Anarchist and FBI Informant who saw the error of his ways and dunked himself in to the Conservative movement! We have gotten to know Brandon in the past 6 months and we were proud to have him at our event.
Yesterday we were in Orlando to hear Sheriff Arpaio speak at a tea party event. This tea party event was a private gathering of tea party members.
Brandon was there to speak. He saw something amiss in the audience and confronted a group of women he believed to be anarchists. (When you’ve been one, you know who they are.)
Brandon (while sucking on a lollipop) confronted the women along with the security team. After an outburst, they were removed from the meeting.
Take a look at the video on Breitbart TV: http://www.breitbart.tv/tea-party-fights-back-occupyorlando-forceably-removed-from-sheriff-joe-arpaio-event/
We are thrilled to have Brandon on our side!
And we thought the Occupiers were only worried about big bad corporate guys and not Sheriffs who enforce the laws. Hmmmmm….
Thank you Brandon and all the others who stood up and said “Not at our meeting, you won’t!”

Patriots,
It’s not too late to participate in helping the TX wildfire victims. Take a look at what we’ve put together so far!!! Big thanks to Nick Tilotta for organizing the effort. See his original message below for info on how you can contribute.

From NETTP member, Nick Tilotta, of Grapevine…
As you all know, Texas is in the midst of experiencing one of the worst droughts in its history. In many of the surrounding counties, countless acres have been destroyed, leaving thousands homeless. The situation is not getting better. It is getting worse. I have been in contact with Brandon Darby, director of Citizens Patriot Response, regarding a request for assistance in providing for those who have found themselves in shelters, with simply nothing but the clothes on their backs. I spent some time over the weekend thinking about what it would be like to face that situation with my family and what I would need. I interfaced with Julie McCarty and Brandon on what things I thought would be required and came up with this idea. How about the NETTP making up “Emergency Comfort Kits” to be handed out by Brandon’s team on our behalf to those who arrive at the shelters? The kits will consist of the following items:

I have tried to keep the cost of these kits at $50 each, including the WalMart card. The cards are to be used for “personal” items such as socks, undergarments, individual hygiene products. Many have contacted Brandon and expressed an interest in helping out. This is an excellent opportunity to get assistance directly to our Texas neighbors in need, completely bypassing all of the typical government bureaucracy and red tape. I will personally accumulate all of the required items, assemble the kits and get them delivered to Brandon. The immediate goal is 200 kits.
If you are interested in making a financial contribution, please mail your check to NETTP at the address below. Donations via PayPal are also accepted. Please notate on your check or PayPal payment “Emergency Comfort Kit”. If you would like to volunteer your time in assembling these kits, please contact me at firearm@verizon.net. This is a great opportunity for our group to shine. Tea Party Patriots, help your Texas neighbors.

The election for Wisconsin Senate district 12 seat is tomorrow. Kim Simac is challenging incumbent Jim Holperin, who ran away to Illinois to avoid voting last winter. He and his band of thugs have launched the nastiest campaign in the history of the Northwoods…and outspent us ten to one. The unions have poured millions into the race in an attempt to defeat Kim.
Kim started the Tea Party here and is a small business owner, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and lover of all things liberty. Luckily the Wisconsin State Senate majority is safe after four GOP recalls were unsuccessful last week. But we love Kim and want her to win for the sake of what she stands for.
She will be a fresh voice in Madison and will serve her constituents well. She has lived the struggles of the businesses up here who are trying to survive in the bad economy. Governor Scott Walker’s repair bill, educational benefits and cuts in spending are already showing huge gains for Wisconsin’s economy. We stand with him and Kim does too.
Kim has not had to become someone else to run for office. She lives the values and practices integrity in all that she does. She led the signature drive to recall the Fleebagger, having gotten 23,000 signature when she only needed 15,000. She hadn’t planned to run for the seat but was talked into it by those who know her, insisting that she was the one who had the strength.
We live in the most pristine setting up here in Northern Wisconsin – beautiful lakes and forests and honest and caring people. But right now, the forces of evil threaten our serenity. And yes, these people who wish to destroy the character of a good Tea Party patriot are truly evil. A disgruntled pro Holperin supporter even put a sign on Kim’s truck last week that said, “Kill Kim.” I’ll tell you more about that later..but right now, we could use your prayers for Kim, her family and friends, and all who love freedom.
We appreciate your prayers. And if God’s will is anything other than a victory for Kim tomorrow night, I pray that we have the strength to accept whatever happens and know that there is a purpose in everything. When asking God for something good to happen, I like to believe that His answer is “Okay, not yet, or I have something better in mind for you.”
Best regards to all of you,
Mary on the front lines (as usual).

If you kept up with the Burgess townhall controversy from last week, it provided a glimpse into leftist tactics. It seems Burgess made the mistake of not immediately distancing himself by running out the door with his hands over his ears when the subject of impeachment was brought up by a questioner. The story went national and Burgess was even honored as being Keith Olberman’s “worst person in the world.” The only other issue that might have provided a similar result is the issue of secession, as Gov. Rick Perry found out. This also gained him the distinction of being a “worst person in the world.”
Anyone who was actually at the meeting, as was I, knows that the Congressman doesn’t really want to pursue the impeachment of Obama; he just threw a bone to a group of people giving him a tough time on his vote to raise the debt ceiling. In fact, the loudest applause of the meeting came when he said that his vote might cost him his job. Much of this would have been forgotten were there not a reporter in the room, who wrote a fairly balanced story. The story broke, then it spread, and Burgess immediately backed off his stance the next day. However, something really interesting started to happen where ever the story was picked up that gives insight into how the left-wing media machine works.
The Left has “trolls” on the internet or “online communication consultants.” Many of them are paid. Their job is to find news stories that threaten them and then post comments on it, berating conservatives, the tea party, etc.
Just as the Left does, I too have Google alerts set up so that when certain phrases post on the internet (like NE Tarrant Tea Party), I get an e-mail. I urge you to do the same so you can be a watchdog for issues or groups that you care about. It’s easy and here’s how it works…
The day after the townhall meeting, my inbox was filled with media outlets that picked up the story. Like many people, I skipped straight to the comments section, which is usually better than the actual story. Let me tell you, when this story was hot, the propeller-head, tinfoil hat, sitting-in-their-mother’s-basement, bat-crap crazy trolls were out in full force. It is always a sight to behold! And what were they so afraid of anyway?
Now given that this was a contentious subject, passions were already high; but any sane debate was pushed off the front page of the comment section by professionally paid trolls (people paid by Soros and crowd to shout down any semblance of enlightened debate). They don’t really care about the far Left or Right sites, just the mainline ones where conservative logic can and does change minds. If you’ve ever argued in those forums, you know that you have no chance of converting the moonbat you’re debating with. However, your common sense logic can have an effect on other people that are reading the dialogue.
These trolls post over and over again the same talking points. (I won’t bore you with them, but it seems we’re all racist.) Each troll uses his own certain phrase that doesn’t even make sense to the argument. They do this so their paymasters can use Google alerts to let them know that their employees are “working” even at four in the morning. Is there any doubt that these moonbats are somehow being paid with our tax money?
Well I’m glad that our little meeting managed to cost them some money from their war chest, especially since there is an election coming up.
If you ever need motivation to keep fighting the good fight, go and read some of the rantings of everyday leftists. They are hateful and deranged, and they really wouldn’t mind if Conservatives were to go away or die. Start fighting back. Set up a Google alert of your own. Don’t let loud mouths dominate the debate. Remember, this is more than just a friendly disagreement; it’s a struggle against evil.

This week was the last week of the Summer Food Service Progam that we reported about earlier this spring. Schools everywhere offer free food (breakfast AND lunch!) for any kids under 18, and discounted meals for adults. There are no qualifications; all you have to do is show up. So, I went to try it out and to see if it’s true. Sure enough, my four-year old and I ate our “free meals” in a cafeteria with other parents and kids - no questions asked. By the way, no one in there looked liked they were in any danger of starving to death any time soon, not even close. Gee, how have we managed to make it as a people before this program, and is there any wonder why we are $14 trillion in debt?
