True The Vote Rally In Austin on December 13th
To Set The Record Straight About Eric Holder, The DOJ, and the UN
HOUSTON, TX – At 4PM, on Tuesday, December 13, at the LBJ Library in
Austin, Texas, TRUE THE VOTE will rally with fellow patriots to set the
record straight about U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, his Department
of Justice, and the interference of the United Nations in elections in the
United States. The planned rally is to focus on Holder’s intention to use
the DOJ to push a progressive and racial agenda on our elections and on
efforts by other progressive organizations to include foreign forces in our
electoral process.
Attorney General Eric Holder will be at the LBJ Library in Austin, Texas on
December 13 to make speak on the importance of ensuring equal voting
rights. Yet, Holder is loathe to preclear voter integrity projects as well as
voter identification requirements in Texas, South Carolina and other
states.
Further, the UK Guardian reported on December 5 that the National
Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) has
petitioned the United Nations to involve itself in elections in the United
States with the false claim that election reform advocates are attempting
to suppress the voting rights of minorities.
Eric Holder and the NAACP stand against Texas plans for redistricting and
its Voter Photo ID laws. Free and fair elections are at risk.
See Rally Announcement Here
TRUE THE VOTE is a national election integrity project based in Houston,
TX, led by Catherine Engelbrecht. Its purpose is to equip citizens for
involvement at every stage of our electoral process and to actively
protect the rights of legitimate voters regardless of party affiliation.

The Henderson County Tea Party invites you to attend a rally to commemorate the birth of Christ and our right to display a replica of the scene of the birth.
We are asking all Patriots who can possibly attend the “It’s our Nativity Scene—Come and Take It Rally” on Dec. 17 at High Noon. The rally will be held on the Courthouse square in Athens, Texas. We must show our resolve and draw the line in the sand. Time to stop this assault from the liberal left and stand our ground.
Juff Tulley -Coordinator of the Henderson County Tea Party has secured a staging location on the Square in Athens. The staging area will be for Tea Party attendees and media.
The location is:Tea Party Headquarters, 112 N. Palestine–on the East side of the courthouse. Direct questions concering the rally to: Jeff Tulley at

Good afternoon Patriots,
I am sending an e-mail inviting you to join Organize4Palin (Texas) on a charter bus trip to Des Moines, Iowa.
Adding more fuel to speculation that Sarah Palin will throw her hat into the 2012 presidential ring, the former Alaska governor has accepted an invitation to keynote a Tea Party rally in Waukee, Iowa, on Sept. 3.
When recently asked on the timing of a possible announcement, Palin told Fox News:
“Legally, of course, there are time frames and that time is coming rapidly in front of all of us,” Palin told Fox News Wednesday, “you know, August and September, you do have to start laying out a plan if you are to be one to throw your hat in the ring.”
The Labor Day weekend Tea Party event looks as though it may be perfect timing to Governor Palin’s deadline.
A press release from the event headquarters also included a statement from Governor Palin herself:
“I’m very excited to join grassroots Iowans at the ‘Restoring America’ event over Labor Day Weekend,” Governor Palin said. “Gatherings like this of independent liberty-loving Americans from every walk of life exemplify our commitment to come together to seek solutions to the problems confronting our nation. As I’ve said many times, including at Pella during my last visit to Iowa: We don’t need a ‘fundamental transformation’ of America. We need a restoration of all that is good and strong and free. The 2012 election will be a great debate between those two conflicting visions for our country.”
The Tea Party of America’s “Restoring America” event will be held at Hawkeye Antique Acres in Waukee, Iowa from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.
Texas Organize4Palin volunteers out of Dallas and Fort Worth have arranged a charter bus trip to attend the rally.
The US Coachways charter bus will depart from Dallas, Texas at approximately 8pm on Thursday, September 1st and return late evening on Sunday, September 4th. The bus will be adorned with signage stating, “Texas is Palin Country.”
Seats are $175 per person which includes round trip bus travel and transfers to and from the event site. Lodging is not included but an applicable group discount is offered.
If you are in the Dallas/ Fort Worth Metroplex or can carpool/ fly into the area and are looking for a fun and economical way to attend this event, e-mail: jelaynesessler@gmail.com or call 817-456-2130 to contact a Texas Organize4Palin coordinator.
Thank you!

Patriots,
NE Tarrant Tea Party is a grassroots organization. This means that ALL efforts come from everyday people like you and me. Ideas, tasks, goals… all are managed by the members, not by one leader. It’s what makes the tea party movement SO effective, and, frankly, so hard to tear down.
But being a grassroots movement only works if the people stay involved! We have a few members who have really stepped up with some great ideas that they are seeing through. Here they are. Please work with them if you can!
- NETTP member Janna Easton has a goal to get rid of Todd Smith as her State Representative. (I share this passion, by the way, and I know many of you do too!). Rather than sit around and wait for someone else to do something about it, she started collecting names and email addresses of those who want to join in this effort. She’s been in touch with each of them and held meetings. If you want to be a part of this, please contact her at jeaston4444@commonsensecitizens.net.
- NETTP member Roger Beatty learned a very inexpensive and effective way to advertise to a targeted audience about Obama. His goal is to make sure Obama does NOT get re-elected in 2012! He advertises via Facebook, and he’s looking for others who would be willing to multiply his efforts. He’ll teach you how. It will cost $5-$10-$15 or so (you set the amount), and he says the rewarding feeling you get as you watch reactions to your own ad is well worth the money. It’s a fun, easy, satisfying and effective part to play in saving America. If you are interested in learning more, contact Roger at 817-488-9162 or Roger.Beatty@commonsensecitizens.net. Don’t worry about having creative ad skills. You just have to be able to type.
- NETTP member Pat Ray heard Glenn Beck’s call for a Mobfest Food Drive on April 21 and she wanted to get involved. But she can’t do it on her own so she’s developed a plan to involve all those willing to help from NETTP. She needs volunteers to collect non-perishable food items and then divide and distribute them to unemployment offices, senior centers and needy families. She says, “As we know, there are many families having a very hard time making money stretch. If we can help them, then that is what we should do.” This will require a great many volunteers. Please bring your food donation to the April 11 meeting or to the Tax Day Tea Party on April 15. Please ask your friends and neighbors to donate too. Volunteer to help sort and distribute the food by calling Pat at 817-306-6008 or emailing nutmeger@commonsensecitizens.net.
What I love about all of these ideas are that these people took the initiative to make them happen. They didn’t come to me and say, “Julie, here’s an idea you should do.” They said, “Julie, here’s an idea I want to do.” See the difference? What are YOU passionate about? What ideas can YOU make happen? If it’s one of the above, please volunteer today! Nothing can get done without YOU getting involved!
Thanks,
Julie McCarty

Tea Party Leaders, Your Voice is Needed
by Sibyl West on March 30, 2011
by Peggy Venable | March 30, 2011 | Americans for Prosperity
Our voices needed in Austin on Wednesday, April 6.
We are working with other groups to hold a press conference and day at the Capitol on Wednesday, April 6. We know it is short notice, but the state budget is moving quickly and we anticipate the House will pass some good amendments Friday and this weekend – we want the Senators to be onboard.
Tea party voters and limited government advocates have been vastly outnumbered at the Capitol this legislative session.
- Today, the group Cover Texas Now (advocating for ObamaCare) and school administrators and their lobby organizations converged on the Capitol with similar messages: Don’t cut spending, and drain all of the Rainy Day Fund.
- Earlier in the week, a group rallied at the Capitol chanting “3 point 2 just won’t do” referring to the Rainy Day Funds the legislature might use to fill this year’s revenue shortfall.
- These groups are calling on legislators to use all of the rainy day funds.
We need to send a message to Legislatures that you support cutting the budget and remind lawmakers that the voters demanded in November that our lawmakers stop overspending and stop mortgaging our children’s futures.
It is short notice, but the House will likely pass the budget this weekend and send it to the Senate. We want to support the spending cuts the House will be making and provide support for those in the Senate.
You can help shape the future of Texas. If we don’t cut spending now, then when?
We hope you or someone from your tea party could come to Austin to participate.
Please share this with your friends and plan to be at the Capitol on Wednesday, April 6, mid-morning. We will provide more specific information tomorrow.

Patriots,
There are still many individuals and groups planning to go to Austin on Saturday to counter the liberals who are insisting on raiding the rainy day fund. I encourage everyone who can to do so. And if you are planning to go, please sign up at the following link so that you can stay in touch with others who are going…

Patriots,
There is a counter-rally planned for this Saturday, March 12, in Austin. The Left is rallying to demand that Texas raid the Rainy Day Fund, and we’ve got to let our Reps and State Senators know loud and clear that we are 100% opposed to that plan!
The Rainy Day Fund serves two purposes.
- First, having a healthy reserve helps the State of Texas keep a high bond rating.
- Second, it provides for needs in time of unforeseen emergencies… you know, things like hurricanes, floods, even terrorist attacks. Will someone please tell me how the school finance situation is an unforeseen emergency? And how will raiding the rainy day fund solve the problem for the next budget? Won’t we be back in this very same position?
Unfortunately the folks in Austin are hearing from the Left 5 times more often than they are hearing from the Right on this issue. Gee, if you were a politician, how would you vote in that case? This is a big deal, and we need to get way more vocal than we already have been.
Have you signed our petition AGAINST raiding the rainy day fund yet? Have you forwarded it to every conservative you know in Texas? You can find the petition here: http://www.petitiononline.com/NETTP1/petition.html. We’d like to deliver it on Saturday, so please take this seriously and get it in front of people.
If you know conservatives who are on the fence about the rainy day fund because they don’t want to hurt the teachers, please send them to this site: http://www.protecttheclassroom.com/. We have GOT to get the truth out there. Teachers’ jobs do NOT have to be cut. The rainy day fund does NOT have to be raided.
I would love to bring a LARGE group from NETTP to the counter-protest on Saturday. Wouldn’t it be fun to rent a bus and all go down together? The bus would have comfortable seating, a restroom, and great company to chat with. We’d go down in the morning and be home that same night. I’ve not priced this out yet, but I’ve heard it will cost around $35/person. I do not want to put time into making this happen if we do not have takers. If you think you might like to take the bus with us on Saturday, please email me asap to let me know.
Whether or not you go to Austin, we all need to be contacting our Reps and Senators. Ideally, this will be done in writing. And we’ve got a really easy way for you to do that. Use the sample paragraph below (taken from the petition that member Tom Moore wrote up for us), tweak it as you desire, and then click here to paste it onto a form to submit it to Empower Texans. They’ll print it and deliver it for you free of charge.
To: All Texas Legislators, Governor Rick Perry, Lt. Governor David Dewhurst
The Economic Stabilization Fund, also known as the Rainy Day Fund, was established by the Texas legislature to provide funds for unexpected emergencies. The education budget is a known and continuing expense. The current budget situation requires a long-term, responsible solution. The Rainy Day Fund is a spending source that will not support ongoing obligations. Using this money depletes the fund and does not address the root problem of excessive spending. Holding the line on spending will not be easy. It will require establishing thoughtful priorities and the realization that we can no longer afford the level of spending we have had in the past. In these difficult economic times it makes no sense to spend our savings account and still be left with the same budgetary predicament.
The Rainy Day Fund is for unexpected, one-time emergencies. Please do not use it for the current school finance situation, nor any other known and continuing expense.
Sincerely,
So let me summarize the steps we desperately need you to be taking…
- Sign the petition. http://www.petitiononline.com/NETTP1/petition.html
- Forward the petition.
- Get familiar with the facts and share them with others as needed. http://www.protecttheclassroom.com/
- Write a letter via Empower Texans. submit it here
- Plan to be in Austin on Saturday for the counter-rally. (We know it’s on Saturday, and exact times/location will be announced soon).
