Elections – 2010

In a Politics Daily article: Democrats Look to Lose 6 to 7 Senate Seats, One Forecast Predicts, the political landscape could be changing for the better.
Democrats have over a 50 percent probability of losing in seven Senate races in this year’s midterm elections, cutting deeply into their current 59-member majority, according to the latest forecast by polling analyst and statistical guru Nate Silver of FiveThirtyEight.com. (Two of the members counted in that current majority are independents Joe Lieberman of Connecticut and Bernard Sanders of Vermont).
However, Silver forecasts only a 20 percent chance that Democrats will lose 10 or more seats, which would cost them control of the Senate.
It is clear that people are fed up, and if we stay on point, explain what the issues are, without telling people how to vote, then we are moving closer to our goal of making a clean sweep of progressive power hungry, money grubbing anti-American politicians. The need for fiscally conservative, voter minded, statesmen is at an all time high and it is apparent that the American voter is waking to that very real need. Only our efforts on the ground as we give support to constitutionally minded independent thinkers, will win the next election in November, and we are beginning to see them pay off.
Please don’t hold back now, as time is short and the enemy is desperate. We now only have 63 days until the critical November 2010 elections.

The following story comes from the Dallas Morning News. You can read it in its entirety here.
Longtime Dallas congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson has awarded thousands of dollars in college scholarships to four relatives and a top aide’s two children since 2005, using foundation funds set aside for black lawmakers’ causes.
The recipients were ineligible under anti-nepotism rules of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, which provided the money. And all of the awards violated a foundation requirement that scholarship winners live or study in a caucus member’s district.
Johnson, a Democrat, denied any favoritism when asked about the scholarships last week. Two days later, she acknowledged in a statement released by her office that she had violated the rules but said she had done so “unknowingly” and would work with the foundation to “rectify the financial situation.”
Initially, she said, “I recognized the names when I saw them. And I knew that they had a need just like any other kid that would apply for one.” Had there been more “very worthy applicants in my district,” she added, “then I probably wouldn’t have given it” to the relatives.
NETTP note: Eddice Bernice Johnson is up for re-election against conservative Pastor Stephen Broden.

Foxnews.com Reports:
66 Days to Decide: Voters in West Virginia, Louisiana Decide Senate Primaries
Popular West Virginia Democratic Gov. Joe Manchin easily won his party’s nomination and will face Republican primary winner John Raese (RAY’-see) in the race for the U.S. Senate seat held by the late Robert C. Byrd.
In Louisiana, meanwhile, Incumbent Sen. David Vitter has easily won the Republican nomination and will face Democratic primary winner Rep. Charlie Melancon (muh-LAWN’-suhn) in a U.S. Senate race in Louisiana.
Time is growing close and we need to see more victories this Fall to make a big difference. We cannot become complacent and hope that the next Presidential election in 2012 will be the answer. The progressive minions can destroy our country before another President can start any work. It is the Congress that makes laws and levies taxes. We must stop the rot now before the cancer further devastates the lives of our kids.
Every family and individual must do everything they can between now and Nov. 2nd to restore our country’s constitution, values and way of life. We can all make a difference even if you are not yet of voting age. Become fluent with the issues and educate your friends. Get on the phones, walk the streets and invite your friends to a tea party meeting. Host a “Back to School” or “After Work” party and have a night of discussion. There are many ways to educate and invigorate a friend, hungry and thirsty for the knowledge to wipe out this group that is transforming their way of life into national disgrace, poverty, and dependency on government rather than ourselves, our friends and our God.
It’s time to take back the government and our country!!! But we all have to do it or it won’t mean a thing.

Conservative Stephen Broden is running for Congress against liberal Eddie Bernice Johnson in the 30th district of Dallas. We need to get people like her out of our Government and get people like Pastor Broden in, and start taking our country back. He needs a lot of help so anything you can do, walk, give money, make phone calls. It is never easy to take these incumbents out.
He could really use our help with his campaign. If you’d like to get involved, click here for his campaign site. Many of us are committing to walking neighborhoods for him at least once a month between now and the elections. Please join us! No experience necessary!
We are setting aside July 31, Aug 14, Aug 21, Sept 4 and Sept 11 for these walks, but we have members who are walking EVERY Saturday morning. No matter what your schedule, your help is needed! Please contact Dawn Neuman at dawn_neuman@msn.com with the date you can join in.
Anyone interested we will be meeting at 7:45 AM sharp from the JC Penney’s parking lot by the road where you come in to Grapevine Mills Mall. We will leave at 8:00 AM and car pool to the different locations to walk the 30th District. I will have directions to all of these places to hand out in the morning. When you get to the different locations they will have clipboards and detailed instructions.

You have probably heard about this documentary made by a Hillary Democrat explaining how Obama cheated throughout the primaries in the caucuses and at the polling places by intimidation and rule breaking.
Below is an article about this documentary and You Tube clips to see it yourself. So far, only Fox will report this story.

From a post by Robert Moon, in the Examiner.com:
Democratic governors from around the country frantically met behind closed doors this weekend in Boston to warn Obama that he is absolutely killing their re-election chances by launching this bogus race-baiting crusade against Arizona for defending itself.
Meanwhile, state and local Republicans are now coming out across the country trying to duplicate Arizona’s new immigration law…in the middle of an election year.
Imagine that. Contrary to everything we’ve been told by Democrats and liberal RINOs like Sen. Lindsey Graham about what political suicide it would be for Republicans to stand up for the rule of law (see here, here and here), both sides are now acknowledging that fighting back actually unites the country behind conservatives.
I rest my case.

Transcribed from the Independant Caucus:
We are now 17 weeks and counting from the elections in November.
We have a chance to take down some very vile party hacks who have no problem passing bills that they don’t read, don’t know how they are going to pay for their ideas of social justice, don’t listen to the people who voted them into office, have the backing of lobbyist, special interest groups
and the money machines of both parties bent on keeping us under their thumbs while taking away more and more of our freedoms, liberties and the American Dream from our children, grandchildren, and future generations.
We needs the following volunteers to help promote our candidates here and across the country:
1) Do you have a facebook page, we can use you to promote
our candidates?
2) Do you Twitter? We need you too.
3) Are you a Digg person? Join our digg group. (If you
don’t know what digg is, it’s simple and just a matter of clicking a button)
4) The Opposition Research Team now has their own blog, http://formerly-elected-official.blogspot.com/
Our blog has every endorsed candidate that either has a state primary coming up or has already moved onto the general election.
It’s an army of volunteers that can offset the big money machines from both parties.
I can make this easy for everyone, you tell me how much time you can help with our candidates and I’ll find something for you to do:
a) If you only have 5 mins a few days a week, I can use you to click a digg button.
b) If you have 30 to 45 mins a few days a week, I can use you to search, or promote candidates or link back to the opposition research blog.
c) The opposition research team needs more searchers for articles on the opposition.
d) We’re starting to setup a list of people who can do phone banking for our candidates across the country.
Whatever amount of time you can help is better than sitting on the sidelines and watching our country be destroyed by the power hungry party hacks.
Don’t wait until the last moment to help out…
NOW IS THE TIME!!!

“I am an African American woman who is the Republican candidate for Illinois State Senate in the 43rd District. I am a wife, stay at home mother, education reformer, and professional accountant. The trifecta of marriage, mortgage, and motherhood catapulted me into the independent thinker that I am today. I am a fresh face with bold ideas who has one objective: good government.” by Cedra Crenshaw.
