Some time early tomorrow morning (Wed, May 26, 2010), the US National Debt Clock will strike $13,000,000,000,000 (that’s 13 trillion dollars) — quite a milestone. This number is so big it’s really hard to relate to it.
But.. there is one figure to which most of us can relate: the rate at which our debt is accumulating — per second:
$48153 per second
So what could you do with $48k per second??
- Buy a brand new, top of the line SUV every second
- Pay for most of a full year’s tuition (including room and board) at a top-of-the-line private university (i.e. Stanford, Harvard, USC, etc) every second
- Pay off the balance on the average US mortgage every 3.7 seconds
- Invest $1M dollars in a high-tech startup every 20.7 seconds
And, keep in mind, this waste is accumulating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. There are 31,536,000 seconds in a year.
Oh… and one more thing: that $48k/sec rate is accelerating.

This is Section 834b out of the State of California’s Penal Code. It sounds a lot like the new Arizona law, doesn’t it? Read the last section specifically.
This shows the Governor and Mayors of Los Angeles and San Francisco, et al., as hypocrites and obviously not upholding their oath of office to enforce the laws of the state.
Maybe it’s time for California to BOYCOTT California…
834b. (a) Every law enforcement agency in California shall fully cooperate with the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service regarding any person who is arrested if he or she is suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws.
(b) With respect to any such person who is arrested, and suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws, every law enforcement agency shall do the following:
(1) Attempt to verify the legal status of such person as a citizen of the United States, an alien lawfully admitted as a permanent resident, an alien lawfully admitted for a temporary period of time or as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of immigration laws. The verification process may include, but shall not be limited to, questioning the person regarding his or her date and place of birth, and entry into the United States, and demanding documentation to indicate his or her legal status.
(2) Notify the person of his or her apparent status as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws and inform him or her that, apart from any criminal justice proceedings, he or she must either obtain legal status or leave the United States.
(3) Notify the Attorney General of California and the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service of the apparent illegal status and provide any additional information that may be requested by any other public entity.
(c) Any legislative, administrative, or other action by a city, county, or other legally authorized local governmental entity with jurisdictional boundaries, or by a law enforcement agency, to prevent or limit the cooperation required by subdivision (a) is expressly prohibited.

News from an NETTP member:
In an episode of The Mentalist which aired on CBS Thursday night at 8:00 pm EST, Simon Baker as Patrick Jane and as an investigator on the show was attending a high school reunion in search of leads, etc. At the reunion the band was playing and people were dancing the Macarena. Simon in a comment as the scene closes out states (paraphrased) high school would have been much more fun if they started the day with the Macarena instead of the Pledge of Allegiance.
Another disgusting attack on the Pledge of Allegiance which appears linked to the immigration issue as well.
Contact CBS and the show sponsors and let them know this cannot stand this will not be tolerated.

No… it’s not stealing from the rich to re-distribute to the poor (although we certainly know Obama is all for that).
It’s support of illegal aliens and their right to sue Americans in our courts at our expense.
Check this out… A Rancher named Roger Barnett has spent much of his time over the past 12 years trying to defend his land and keep illegal aliens from crossing it to get into the United States. Now he is being sued in federal court by 16 illegal aliens who are being funded by MALDEF, a liberal legal defense fund.
It turns out that MALDEF got its start, in part, with funding from Ford Motor Company (along with the NAACP and several other reverse-racism promoters like the League of United Latin American Citizens).
MALDEF’s big claim to fame over the past 40 years is winning a famous court case in Texas that forced the Texas legislature into adopting the ‘Robin Hood’ funding initiative whereby the state purposely overtaxes rich districts in an attempt to funnel the funds to poor, sparsely-populated districts. Many feel that this has ruined much of Texas’ public education system and is flat-out unconstitutional.
Now… if you think that it is just plain wrong for 16 illegal aliens to sue an American citizen (at our expense mind you), then you are in good company. But… that company does not include President Obama. He, in fact, thinks so much of the folks at MALDEF that he hired the president of MALDEF to be his ‘Assistant Secretary of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity’ in the US Dept of Housing and Urban Development (another giant sinkhole of tax payer money).
Wow… more CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN!!

It is extremely important that conservatives and patriots from around the state contact the Texas State Board of Education to voice support for the revisions that the SBOE made earlier this year to the Texas social studies textbook standards. Right now, the SBOE is hearing from groups like:
- League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC)
- NAACP
- Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF)
- Texas Families of Incarcerated Youth, Sikh Coalition
- U.T. Austin Department of History
- Carrizo-Comecrudo Tribe of Texas
- Hindu-American Foundation
- Coalition for Educational Reform
- Texas Holocaust and Genocide Commission
- and many others
They have been asked to include more minorities, more liberal groups, less about our Christian heritage, less about limited government, more about race and gender, and less about free markets and gun rights.
You can contact the SBOE by sending them an email at sboesupport@tea.state.tx.us and let them know that you support the revisions that have been made. And if you can, go to Austin on May 19 to lobby for the conservative changes. The final vote is May 21.

Arizona is under heavy fire from left-wing bullies for trying to protect its own citizens from the ravages of illegal immigration. These bullies believe they can target, isolate and neutralize Arizona, and thereby pressure the people to stop enforcing the law. We think it’s time to stand with Arizona!
On Saturday, May 29th, patriots from across the United States will come together in Tempe to Stand With Arizona and against the left-wing bullies. JOIN US on May 29 at Diablo Stadium in Tempe. Go to www.StandWithArizona.org for more info. Watch a video discussing the background and plans for the rally by clicking here.
And don’t forget the BUYCOTT. The following Arizona-based companies have been TARGETED by LEFT-WING ACTIVISTS trying to BULLY the people of Arizona over the new immigration law:
We encourage you to SUPPORT and DO BUSINESS with all of the above companies.
The NE Tarrant Tea Party has signed on as a coalition supporter of these efforts.

Cap and Trade is an Energy Tax.
The Left believes if gas costs more you’ll drive less. That’s why they want to increase the gas tax, but they don’t want you to know.
They’ll try to say it is not a gasoline tax because it doesn’t raise the current 18.4 cents per gallon Federal Gasoline Excise Tax. The details reveal their proposal is a new tax on top of the existing Federal Gasoline Excise Tax. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who helped craft this new gas tax, admitted the higher costs for energy companies “will be passed on” to motorists at the pump.
Don’t be fooled by their “spin”. This bill is a Gas Tax on you and your family. Sign a petition against this bill by clicking here.
